Is there a tradition of using Geothermal for stills over there?

Yes actually it is. The hot water just comes out of the tap, costs very little and by assuring enough surface area for efficient heat transfer into the fermented mash you can achieve high wattage/energy tranfer per time unit thus distilli large amounts in a relatively short time. Besides the use of hot water greatly reduces the fire hazard compared to using natural gas/propane or electricity.

Brian .....do you want receive the moonshine filtered through activated charcoal or do you just prefer to consume the raw spirits without any rectification?
