Hi All,

Thought I'd give the n&p 50's sci-fi comp a go, I don't know if I'll finish it though. I thought I'd enter to give me a sense of deadline pressure and a goal :) If I don't end up finishing it before the deadline, I'll continue the wip here in the MoI forum.

It's Robby The Robot from various Sci-Fi movies, such as The Forbidden Planet, I've started with the head, so far just a few gadgets.

Anyhow thanks for looking.

Cheers
~Danny~

Impressive! You've finished the hard part - the rest should be easy :)

Have you seen these drawings? They claim to be original design drawings.

Hi Danny - wow, fantastic detail, he is looking great!

Maybe at the end you can have him holding your old fashioned camera as well, for a double retro? I guess the camera is a fair bit older yet though...

Thanks, getting there........slowly.

Yeah, I used them as a guide but I think the guys who built robby took some design license and did things a bit differently to the drawing.

Now I have to model a 50's camera!
