Hi Anis

You mean I should have a REAL purpose?

No luck!

I am living one day at a time and everything is done for the fun of the moment.

The thing about using MoI, and with my long exposure to Carrara, is that I don"t need drawings or measurements--I start, like creating an oil or water colour painting, by putting down a mark and then just folow the inspirations that my odd mind is inspired by from that first mark.

Does good old South Aussie Coopers Extra Stout help me?----well I am happy!!!!!!

Hi Brian,

I just want to know the model you have created just for fun or real project that make money. For me, sometimes I just create 3D model for fun and exercise.

Anis

I would love to be able again to make it outside to paint. Just answering the front door--6feet away-- is a problem now.

The great thing, when I was painting, was to go outside under this tree in the back yard with a lovely white, blank, canvas!

NOTHING is more inspiring than a blank canvass!

(Just toooo clever Pilou!)

NOW, DON'T LAUGH!

Had this wierd idea for an insect with legs and hair--all in MoI--using lots of Array.
(1am in the morning idea!---arrggghhh!)

What a can of worms that the practicalities of doing it provide!

AND, fiddling with a Brian version of the Claw---a lot of interesting learning.

Your modeling skillz has bumped WAY UP Brian, I like both the castle and millipede!

Actually if you were to rig a spine in the millipede and perhaps some kind of morph based animation for the legs (moving in a wavey pattern back and forth) - you'd have a nicely functioning miliMonster there!

Thanks Will.
Great fun with the claw on PaQs thread--see my last post there..

Will have a look at this insect again now. I would like to resolve my initial ideas properly.

Doing the animation idea in Carrara is really fairly straight forward in Carrara, but very time consuming. I just don't have enough patience.

Amazing what a fresh mind, and a few more hours of MoI modelling learning provides!

Yeah, I know what you mean about patience - I think that's what prevents me from being PAQ! :-P
(Well perhaps talent as well...)

That 9-5 drains me - I usually force myself to stay up till around 1am - 2am but oh if I had my whole day to devote to my hobbies...

A friend was having considerations about creating Acanthus Leaf carved embelishments for an historical boat he is building in 3D.

Here are two examples I created in MoI and a Carrara render where I took the MoI .obj file save into the Carrara Vertex Room and "softened" it.

Hope of interest

Everyone sleeping in on New Years morning so I did a bit more rendering on the MoI Castle.

In Carrara. I think this is about all I need.

Very nice, Brian - looks like a tileable piece for a game or something.

Nice texturing.

...And Happy New Year! :-)
