Hi Dave - for 3DS Max instead of OBJ I would recommend using the new FBX export that is in the current MoI v2 beta (Sep-21 version).

However, there is a bug in MoI's FBX exporter regarding welding - you need to expand the mesh dialog and uncheck the "Weld vertices along edges" option for now when exporting to FBX. This is fixed up for the next beta release.

Then on top of that, make sure you've got the newest FBX importer plugin for Max, which you can get here:

That combination should work a lot better for exporting data into Max than OBJ.


For Cinema4D OBJ export works great.

thanks, i shall pass that on to my mate. i only tested it in max because he uses it. ( i only use max now when forced to) i love how clean the mesh comes into c4d so i cant ask for more :)
