I am sure I have had enough with this. Could spend hours more refining the shaders.
Hope the crazy thinking principles helps others in entering the competition.

Hi Brian
Is that your entry? I'm having a go to and have made a steampunk boat. At least I think its a steampunk boat. I was going to have a go at the duck mouth but this seams more interesting because of the prizes.

Hi Keith

No,I am not going to enter.
That that I did is just a very small part of the needed end result and I am just not fit enough to put in the dedicated time and effort.

Have a look at the entries starting on this competition--first stages only.
Look at the results of the previous competition.

Good luck

Brian

This is where you can visit the individual threads of the entrants to the competition.
There are a HUGE number of them and some threads are quite long.
It is worth spending some time--great learning about the ideas and CG capabilities of others.

Enjoy.

I see the competition is highlighting the potentiial for Brass Gears!
So I did a little modification--just for the "work experience"!

Hi Brian
Thanks for the tips. I seem to have got a copy SoftImageSXI already. I attach my WIP in case you are interested. Sorry you are not up to entering the competition.
All the best
Keith

Hi Brian and anyone else.

Here is my entry for the competition. Its my first go at such things so I'm uncertain of my credentials/skill. All except the figures were made with Moi.

Hi Keith

Great work mate. Glad I directed to the competition.
It's good practice to have challenges.

I hope you know how to do that upload method for the very final big image. I had to get my son to do it.
Caused a lot of problems in the earlier competition.

Hi Brian
No uploading the big image via FTP isn't working for me. I keep getting messages saying either the server cant be found or that my login has been rejected. If your son did it I would love to know how.

There is a Christmas competition on Renderosity if your interested. Its much easier, only 800x800 and at last look only 5 entries.

Best ask on the CG forum my son says. It can be problems at both ends he says and they should have solutions.
Did you know that that CG site, and Balistic Publishing, was based here in Adelaide!

I am only on a day to day basis currently so not looking at any time consuming stuff.
