At the moment you'll have to rotate the object.

But since this has come up so much recently, I have added this in for the next beta. In the next beta (which will be about a week or so) you will be able to do a second click on the viewport's name in the view control (the thing at the bottom that says Split | 3D | Top | Front | Right) to reverse it.

These will also work - you will be able to click again on "Top", "Front", or "Right" to reverse any of those.

Aha, someone has been digging around in the UI! :)

To others - all the MoI UI is contained in .htm files that are inside the \ui subdirectory under MoI's installed directory. You can actually edit these files to change the UI. It's probably a good idea to make a backup of the files before you mess with them.

In this case I had previously experimented with a different UI for switching to the reverse views, and the old experimental UI was commented out in the CommandBar.htm file.

So Petr, do you think that little menu was ok? Somehow it felt kind of clumsy to me, I didn't like it that much. I have taken it out for this new version and now if you just do a second click on the button, it will switch.

And when you clic anywhere on a "view case square " that make just a "turn upside down" :)
Simple and visible :)

The default button size is a fair bit smaller than that, so the small text would by default be soooooooooo very very small, I think it might give someone a headache trying to read it :)

Yes, I think I'll try this. Hopefully it is a good surprise when it happens. :)

But I hope it shouldn't cause any problems, because there isn't really any reason to normally be clicking those areas a second time once it is already highlighted.

The main problem is that it isn't immediately obvious that it is possible to do it. But that's ok in some areas that are not completely essential to basic operation.

:) No Problem :
For the View Top, Front, Right, seems suffisant and a normal reflex to clic a second time on the enlighting case and the word changes and view of course :)
What do you want better? ( Maybe just a text (not a triangle) "up" the case under the cursor when you move the mouse or Pen ?
Because the action like 'Grid' "Little black triangle" move to clic the triangle, move to clic the option Choiced, move Clic to closed, = 3 Clics + 3 moves !
No need for the views :above method just Text = 1 Clic and no move :)

Since there is no need for me to change the reversed view frequently, it was.
But second click on the button to switch it, there is no problem at all. Furthermore, the Reset/ResetAll buttons use the same idea. You need to press it twice to see everything instead of only zooming to the selected objects. So it will be consistent and cryptic as well. Important is that you eliminated such options as RightView=rightMouseButtonClick, LeftView=leftMouseButtonClick.

However, I have doubt about triangle as Pilou has suggested. The small triangle in the corner of the button is a synonymous with "click and hold until the flyout toolbar appears". See AshlarVelum, Rhino and so forth. It might be more or less confusing.

There is no need to keep this sequence, though.
Just try following..... (it also works for Help/About MoI, e.g.)

-Move the cursor to the small black triangle, click and hold down
-Move the cursor just over the option
-Release button (the menu dissappears)

This is one click and one move, hmmm......one move, ach... hehe

I think I'm just going to have it look the same as it does now and just switch on the second click. We'll see how that works.

One other tip for these things - you don't have to actually move over the small black triangle, you can click down on the main button underneath it, hold down and drag upwards towards the little black triangle.

Any button that has a menu on it like this can be triggered by that type of drag, the menu will pop up as soon as you move off the top of the button onto the little arrow part.

MoI can be supplemented with the clock bar when covering up the taskbar. I admit that the source code is rather poor.... ehmm
Just copy "CommandBarClock.htm" into directory "..\MoI\ui\"
Update the file "MainWindowLayout.xml" in the same directory
