ive just done it
made text object, selected all the edges and hit fillet with a 0.25 and it did it. make sure your figure is the right size for the object or it will not do it.
also joining the edges will make a seperate spline object that doesnt belong to the text object and therefor cant be filleted

Hello Jumbo,

Instead of selecting border edges, you can also just select the front surface and then apply the fillet.
Do you have any example of what letter (font) you want to fillet ?

Hello Max3d,

could you share your workflow for create and share video's (software/format codec)? The resolution, the quality and the download speed are very nice ^^

It's more a test than a real tutorial capture, even it's how I fillet text.
As a rule I fist fillet extruted edges that are >= of 90° ... I could fillet the letter at once, but by doing that I don't change the font 'design' too much.

@Max,

How do I embeded the video in my message ?

Hi Jumbo - like PaQ mentioned you can select the front face to fillet all the edges attached to it which is a nice shortcut for this kind of thing.

And if you want to fillet all edges, you can do that by selecting the whole object instead of individual edges.

Text can often have situations like very sharp pointed corners and tightly bent curves which can make for difficult filleting situations. Like you saw, it is pretty easy to ask for a fillet that will not fit in the given area because of going around a bend. So it is usually a good idea to also try smaller values and see if that will give you a result.

Hey Paq,
If the url you post is the "Embed" link then it just shows up as video.

Hi PaQ,

There will usually be some kind of snippet of HTML code that is available for you to copy.

If you copy that and paste it into your forum message here, it should make the player show up directly inside of your message.

See http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=2042.25 for an example from screencast.com .

The HTML code will start with either <object> or <embed>

indeed if you click on the "<>"icon it will produce a code (long one) this is copied automatically to your clipboard by jing and all you do then is paste it into your message window as is and it will show as a video window. hope that helps
