G1-G2 Fillet Bug ?

Hi Michael,

While playing with the Danny's model from the Smooth transition thread
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI

I've find a strange g2 fillet behavior.

Here's the 3 tubes construction I did, then I try to fillet it :

- Circular works, only if I fillet intersection edges one by one (at a size of 6 I was able to fillet the 3 edges in once)
- G1 or G2 lost continuity in the fillet

However I was able to use the g2 blend surface after deleting the 3 'wrong' fillets.

I don't know if it's possible to enhance the fillet in this particular area. There are many works around of course.

Hi PaQ, the filleter in general has some difficulties in the "disappearing" fillet cases where the fillet kind of narrows down and ends in a single point.

That problem will probably take a fair while to get improved.

The blend problem I think is something different though, that looks like a tangent value is not getting scaled up properly like it is getting for the Blend command instead of Fillet. That one may be something I can fix up sooner, I'll take a look.

I think you allready told me this in an other thread, sorry to force you to repeat it again (this time it's recorded ;) ).
