Though Aussie is listed, reading the actual detailed info confirms little Aussie participation--even reading the wikki makes one wonder why it is celebrated also! Some strange ideas about.

Not like The Melbourne Cup Day (on Tuesday) in the least! (REALLY serious stuff that deserves a holiday!)

(I don't go to horse racing either, or watch AussieRules football---it's a wonder any other Aussie ever speaks to me---they speak in some strange Aussie dialect!)
