More on Cauliflower.

This image shows what can be done with Surface Replication in Carrara.

Is this working method one that has potential to be added to say the MoI Array options?

I use it a lot in Carrara. It would be a great option in MoI.

More Cauliflower.

Still not particularly exciting, but showing using the Carrara Replicator to produce the core piece.

Hi Brian,

That is starting to look good.

May I make a suggestion?

Instead of just using one sphere for the inside core of the cauliflower, use several different sizes booleaned together to create a surface, then add the "replicator surface" of smaller spheres in Carrara:-

A very quick example:-

Just a quick test of the principle.
Much more realistic.
Thanks again.

After a bit of work in Photoshop, I think!!!!, I may have come up with a good texture for the cauliflower "flower".

If you have Carrara, let me know if you would like the .cbr file.

Hi Brian,

That it certainly looking a lot better now. What does let it down a little is the repetitiveness of the leaves, what I would suggest is to scale the leaves differently, make some more narrow, some shorter etc, you could even make a mirror image for some and scale them, then set them at different intervals around the main body.

Take care,

Regards,

- Steve

Thanks Steve.
Actually there are a pair of leaves involved of different size but I agree, I should have had much more variation.
In most thinks I am impatient and tend to explore ideas rather than take them to ideal completion.
