Hi Luca, SAT is another NURBS-based format very similar to STEP and IGES formats.
See here: http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=2047.2 for a recent discussion and description of the STEP and IGES formats, everything there applies similarly to SAT as well.
SAT is the native file format of the ACIS geometry kernel, which is used in quite a few solid modeling programs.
In MoI v2 there is a new feature to export models to the SAT format, you can do that with the current v2 beta release.
Sometimes file format conversion can be a finicky thing, it is best to test MoI's output with that program instead of just assuming that it will convert smoothly. But hopefully it will.
