Hi everyone, got some time to do some more texturing. Did rework in Modo and rendered in Modo. Let me know what you all think. One version has a black and white obj that causes the stripping on the second image.

It's looking good Moe! I think I like the second one with the striping better, it kind of gives a better feel for the reflective look of that part.

Hi Michael and Dave, thanks for the feedback. I have updated the model with a few other attempts. Let me know if you think I am getting closer to the right look. I have always been not as effecient in texturing. :(

Hi Moe,

Sorry, but I couldn't help it, I had to jump in on this one. As mentioned the model looks great but the textures look a bit flat, I went to the modo gallery to see what this program is capable of in rendering and some of the renders there look great, I'm not a rendering expert myself but visually there is something missing.

Looking at a picture here I see that the numbers and the button separators are indented slightly which gives it a bit more depth to the number pad, maybe a different colored floor with a bit of reflection in it, because I think that flat blue is not doing your model justice.
Also I think the mesh could be tightened up a bit to get cleaner lines, especially around the curved edges.

Like I did and still am doing is to ask questions, heaps of them, no matter how trivial you might think they are it's the only way your going to learn.

Anyhow, good luck and so far so good.

Cheers
~Danny~

Here is a new render with 3 point lighting. Take care.
