BUG report - Fillet broken after a mirror + undo

Hi Michael,

I have a nice one for you :)

Create a small box


Circular fillet of 0.03


Mirror along the y axis


Drag the box mirrored box a litte bit


Undo


-> Fillet broken

Hi PaQ, thanks for the very clear bug report!

I have been able to repeat the problem over here and I've been looking at it.

It appears that the object actually gets messed up directly after the mirroring, it is just that the mirroring also copies the display mesh of the original object so you don't notice the problem until later on at some point when it gets re-meshed which is what happens on an undo.

It also does not seem to happen with V1, so it looks like it is a regression in the geometry library involving dropping curves to parameter space.

I'll be taking a look to see if I can narrow it down to a specific area and see if I can possibly roll that part back to the v1 state.

and strange that it wasn't reported before too. G1 fillets doesn't have this problem.

Hi PaQ - this fillet + mirror bug turned out to be a bug in handling mirrored spheres, for the part of bringing points from 3D space into UV parameter space.

It's fixed up now for the next beta, thanks very much for the clear bug report!
