tab / "Script en ligne" (line script)/Vue(View)/Isometric,Dimetric, Perspective etc...
Copy Past the code and change the French /* notation*/ if you want ;)

< What is your opinion about make 3D and ISO ?
As parameters can be made without difficulty, there is no reason to not permit that ;)

For industry and schemas that can be useful ;)

Problem of complexify UI is another question :)

Hi Anis, well isometric and dimetric views are just parallel views at one specific view angle.

Is there something special about those particular view angles that helps you to do modeling or something like that?

If there was the kind of "switch to isometric" mechanism in the UI like you are talking about, would you expect for view rotation to be then disabled while that special mode was active?

I'm just not very clear on what you see as being the benefit for having that, maybe you could explain some about what kind of problem it would help you solve.

You can already just set your view to be parallel if you want, that is available under under Options > View > 3D view projection. But as far as I know, most people want to be able to rotate the 3D view around to look at your stuff from different angles and not just be locked into a single specific view direction.

Like Anis said, it could be helpful for screen grabs for mechanical parts.

Hi Kevin, if its only purpose is just for screen grabs and not for actually doing any modeling work, then it may not be a great fit to try and jam it in with other things that are used frequently for modeling...

It could be something that fits better with some kind of UI customization in the future where you could go to a script library and pull in some buttons for functions that suited your particular needs.

Currently that kind of stuff is dealt with by keyboard shortcuts, right now if you do want to set up an isometric view for doing a screen grab, that is possible by setting up one of the keyboard shortcuts listed earlier in this thread.
