Hi all,

Just an assembly of what's been modelled so far and a few quick renders in Hypershot.
I want to eventually render it using some other rendering app to make it look it's age :)

Thanks for viewing.

Wow, that is looking sharp! Great details all over that front face.

Yeah right now it does look very kind of "perfect" and modern like, which
is kind of cool actually but it will be interesting to see what you do to age it later on.

That is insane! I'm jealous.

Danny, what sys specs of computer do you do this with (In General). Every time I try to build anything complex (Or should I say, Multiple small parts) I bog down.

I know I dont have the best or latest hardware, but didnt think everybody else was using dual Xeon, 8 gigs of ram either.

Maybe Mine is just so old a cheap new one would perform way better!

Just an idea for me to base buying a newer "less than optimal" computer. Have been holding out for the dual quad core xeon 8 gig thing. May be shooting myself in the foot a bit.

Thanks,
Burr

[EDIT] Well answered my own question. Even an under 200 dollar video card shows significant performance for me. Seems I've been waiting too long. Still would like to know what you model at home with Danny.

Hi Burr,

> what sys specs of computer do you do this with (In General).

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66GHZ clocked @ 3.2GHZ
3 GHZ DDR2 800
Nvidia Quadro FX3500-512MB

Hi Paul,

>Is that with the web version too ??

Yeah it is the web version which is 800X450 res, but I used a program called PhotoZoom to enlarged them a touch.

Cheers
~Danny~

Since your kindof a techy Danny heres one for you if you havnt scene it.

Free, puts up high res pics in low res intervals so you could post a HUGE picture and let users zoom in and out and pan.

Here's a sample though the pic is not that high but you can zoom to the letters on the helmet. If it was high enough res it would be clear.

left in, right out, click drag pan.

http://www.i386group.com/zoomview/DSC01313.html

Let me see if I can dig up a better picture to demonstrate what I mean.

Better but res is still low.
http://www.i386group.com/zoomview/carview.html

THe point would be that you could post a file that was say 40 megs due to res but Viewer wouldnt have to sit and wait for 3 minutes for it to show, it shows as the small file but still navigatable and ability to drill down into the picture.

They added a plugin to photoshop but the original app has a greater finite control of the zoom levels and such.

Anyway, thats enough now.

Never posted the tool!

It's called ZoomView, under the legacy tools section
