Consumer Product Design, I think MOI strength is not in machine design where there are already a lot of programmes to choose from which provide better tools. Creating fast concepts in an enjoyable way is what i value. A few extra tools in surface/curve evaluation and layers/groups and I will be spending most of my concepting time in MOI.

No strength in machine design? I was thinking more of a problem with characters which are inherently better with subdivision surfaces, why do you think that? Any of the first three would be fine.

Hi Anis, I have it set to automatically end in one week, but I can also end it earlier if you remind me, just post here again when you want me to end it.

Sure, some images would be great, you can post them here as a file attachment.

Hi Michael....

One week is to long...
I think 3 days to vote the category, then 3 days to vote the images.
So, please stop the vote by August 26 2008.

Thank You !

It sounds like it would have a lot of character to that model, so maybe under "Character Modeling" ? ;)

Hi Guys...

Thanks to participate, and the most vote is Consumer Product Design.

I have some images below that I think good for "Consumer Product Design Exercise". I got the images from internet. You can also post your image by today. Then Michael will create another vote for the images. Please note, the purpose for this exercise is share approach, knowledge, trick & method to build sketch & 3D model in MoI.

Maybe for the next exercise it will better to post some images from different category, then we just need to create once ( 1 ) vote.

A kitchenaid blender(lots of reference images)

Or a simpler espresso machine(simple shapes)

Or an antique espresso machine(good for getting a dirty old render)
