I was thinking maybe about having a Curve button inside the "Construct" section, it could have extract isocurve and it might be a good place to also have some other curve generation tools like contour lines and section-cut lines.

I kind of think of the Draw Curve section as place where you create something brand new, only from mouse clicks.

The construct section is for things that involve building things using existing objects in some way, like creating an extrude from an existing curve.

Since the isocurve comes from an existing surface, it sort of feels like a "construct" one to me.

I have had a problem thinking of where to put contour and section-cut curve tools, so it seems like this could work for all of those in one spot. Maybe project curve to surface too.

Please let me know if there is anything that doesn't feel comfortable!

but i'm having a problem with this scene (attached)

if i create a surface using a 2 railed sweep it makes an horrid surface in moi -in rhino instead it comes out perfect!

the rails are the 2 longer curves....

Hmm, yeah I see a couple of different problems there.

I was able to tune up one thing that helped reduce the bumps near the middle, but there is still some additional work to make it work better overall. I've added this to my list of stuff to fix up, but I probably won't get a chance to work more on it until some of the more basic stuff (array, units, background images, ...) is wrapped up.

You'll probably run into other problems like this, when you do please send me the file just like you did here. When I do work on this area more in depth, having examples like this really helps a lot.

Almost ready...

This one won't have too much stuff, though - it has x/y axes on the grid so you can more easily see the origin. There is also an origin snap point, and pushing enter is the same as "done" like you were asking about, then there are a bunch of small bug fixes.

I'll try to get it out this evening.
