OT: CAD history

Just mention of...

I have been reading the M(CAD) history. I thought it would be tedious... but it's very very impressive and redable to me (I admit I like reading).

I am genuinely surprised that it wasn't exceptional for designer to work with some kind of pen screen/tablet solution while interacting with computer system in the early 1960s. It almost seems to be standard at that time!!!

And there is also nice evidence where the power of mainstream CAD packages emerged - acquisition, acquisition and acquisition a small progressive company once again :)

Look quite interesting...

A couple of months ago I found out about Ivan Sutherland's work with Sketchpad in 1963, I was quite impressed!
