As part of the development for grouping within MoI, my wish is to be able to assign colors.
I export OBJ from MoI to HyperShot for rendering. HyperShot automatically groups by material assignment, so if you change any object from red to blue, ALL red objects change to blue.
Running separateOBJ.exe breaks up the objects and assigns random colors. That solves the issue above and allows me to reassign different materials within HyperShot. However, because separateOBJ.exe breaks up along edges, I have to reassign the material to each surface. This is very time consuming for a complex model.
For that reason I'd like to see color assignment become a part of whatever grouping mechanism is added to MoI.
