Hello,

I've switch my monitor to a 1050x1600 and try to run Moi3d.exe but I always get a message
<Unable to create Direct3D9 device>

Is there a way to fix that ?

thanks,
-z

Hi Zograf, you mean it used to run before you switched the montior?

Can you see if your desktop is set to 32-bit color? Check this under Start / Control Panel / Display / Settings tab / Color quality setting.

If that is set to 32-bit, can you try doing Start / Run / dxdiag.exe, go to the display tab and push the "Test Direct3D" button to see if DirectX is working properly on your machine?

Also, what type of video card do you have?

It seems DX doesn't support the mode I've choose 1050x1680 pixels, so that's why moi3 cannot create the device.

sorry for the trouble.

No problem. It sounds like it must be something to do with your particular video card.

If you have an older card, you might need to upgrade it to be able to run DirectX at a higher resolution than before.
