Hi Vincent, looks great! Very nice detailing.

Did you find any of the new snapping/editing things for v2 useful in building this, or if not did they at least not get in the way?

Hi Michael,

Anis said:"How you put so many bolts in Moi"

Got me thinking, is it possible when importing to have the imported model 'live' and MoI asking where would you like to position that model via 'from' and 'to' snap points and rotation maybe.
In that way we could have a personal library of components that are often used in our designs eg:nuts and bolts where we could import and reposition on the fly, basic assembly.

Hi osx59,
Yes, very nice model, are you going to render or is this a real job ?

Hi Danny, I want to have an "orient" tool that would kind of handle the positioning part of that. I was thinking of giving that a try pretty soon here.

When you do an import, your imported objects will be selected so that you can run a command to work on them right away. It should also be possible to kind of combine those functions together with a script if you want, once the orient type tool is in there.

That would be great, it would make life easier for assembly type modeling when importing pre-modeled standard items.

Thanks
~Danny~

Hello Anis, a trick, juste by copy !

Frenchy P : Pas besoin de traduire !!

Michael G : - it would be well to have groups, layers and colors!!

Hi Vincent,

Not quite yet - I'm still gathering this together.

But there have been quite a few changes in snapping and selection, so even if the changes did not get in your way that is a good result.

Very cool vault - how long did that take you (just want to get a general feel for model complexity v modelling time).

Also - Is that off an actual vault design? Because I don't think a vault is very secure if the burglars can just undo the hinges (i.e. the bolts shouldn't be exposed). ;)

Looks excellent.

Those are MoI nuts! Spun on at such high velocity that the molecular structure fuses at an atomic level, becoming Impenetrable by man. (Mortal Man, Michael still knows how to get in!)
