Another thing but same in fact ;)
The only difficulty of all that is make
Click move without release, then release!
As soon as you make a single click, that is finished!

Hi Pilou, good video - that is now making use of that update in V2 so that "Relocate cline" can be used with distance constraint.

I think you also saw this previously, but just for others I wanted to mention that there is also another related new option in V2 to be able to specify a "relative point" for the first pick of a command like the center of a circle. Previously in v1 relative points only worked for the 2nd point pick instead of the first one.

The way it works is by typing in a coordinate starting with "r", like : r3,6

In V2 if you start the Circle command, and then type in r3,6 <enter> you can then pick a point and the point that is placed will be offset from the one you snapped to by 3 units in x and 6 units in y. You'll be able to see that the point is offset when you move your mouse around to place the point's base location.

So that's just another option that is available.

- Michael

It always good to have many ways and different choices to obtain something ;)

The use of the relocate cline with constraint requires a little mind training !
To click on a vertical for have an horizontal is a little pertubating :)
And the fact that that the cline can be at any place around the first click also ;)
And the carreful of "single click" without release is a little frightening :)
But when you have well understand the manipulation, it's very easy!

It's for people who take the time to draw
The "relative system" is for speedy people:)

Thanks for the vid. I'm not getting the popup from the white callout???

Your download had a helper.js, helper.htm, helper.swf.

Copied helper.js to my commands folder.

Anything I'm missing?

Thanks,
Burr

just unzipp and keep all in any place you want ;)
Just open the file helper.htm with your navigator
There is nothing to do with Moi it's just a video!!!

The white slot appear only when you draw an Helpers line!
For that you must Click move a point an release on one other point!
When you release this second point the White slot will appear
Then move you mouse or pen over it 2 seconds for see the menu

yeah, not working. in v1 or v2, on 2 different machines. Was this a seperate download at some point or is it supposed to be inherent in MoI?

Hi Burr, that's built into MoI, not an add-on.

But you have to click and hold down on it, and keep pressed down on it for a moment. Just hovering the mouse over it without the button down will not open it.
