When zoom in this bottle, the sides curves turn linear :o)
Is it any kind of inverted level of detail ?

Hi PaQ, thanks for the example - this is a display bug that can happen occasionally on "S" type curves. The curve displayer samples a point in the middle of the curve to see if the display polyline is close enough to the real curve, and for an "S" type shape it can get fooled into thinking that it is close enough when it isn't.

I should be able to tune this up a bit later on in v2.

Hi PaQ - by the way this bug is purely a display glitch, your actual curve is not changing to be straight line, just the visual display of it.

For example if you go to do an "on" object snap to that curve, or like draw a line across it and get an "int" snap, those points will be on the actual proper curve.

Hi Michael,

Yes I notice it too, as the 4 control points are still there too :)
It's not a big problem anyway...

I would like to fix it, but it is not really a quick and easy area to fix up since it is a very performance sensitive area. I have to be very careful about changes to this particular thing so that all curve displaying doesn't get slowed down too much with extra tolerance checking.

That's why it has to go on the back burner for at least a bit.
