GUI Customization Request

MOI is amazing, and the overall simplicity is a true work of art. But are there any plans on creating a feature that would allow the user to customize the user interface? The only thing that I personally would want to see is changing the placement of the tools/buttons and the overall color of the interface.

Don't know if this is too much to ask for, but would still be awesome :D

Hi aa13x, actually it is possible to skin the UI since it is all defined by .htm, .css, and .png files that are inside the \ui subfolder inside of MoI's main installation folder.

Here are a couple of discussion threads on that which may be of use:

To do this editing you have to edit those files in a text editor like notepad though, and make some new images for backgrounds, stuff like that.

At some point in the future it would be nice to have a more "high level" way of editing the UI, like re-arranging things by drag/drop, stuff like that instead of editing a text file. But that is a really huge area of work to make that happen, I think it is going to be quite a while before I'll have enough time to work on that.

But editing the UI definition files directly does give you a lot of power, you can really change stuff around quite a lot.
