Hi PaQ - wow that is looking great! Lots of interesting details in there.

Is this whole thing just one articulated finger of the final robot? Or is that more like a whole arm of it?

it's just a finger, and the final image will be just 3 fingers (claws) in fact =)

Here's an update ...


I really like the dynamic this motion blur is giving, however I get some friends negative feedback. Indeed I'm losing
a lot of the model details ... I will probably give an other try later.


And a dark version (still in rendering) ... looks cool like that, I think I'll keep this version for now ...
Still have some typo work to do on it, and I have to work on the background a little bit.
