mesh object support in V2 ?

Hi Michael. Just curious to know if there is a timeline planned to add mesh objects in V2? or would this be later than V2? I ask because my normal Rhino export procedure was always to mesh the objects individually, then organize by layers, groups, names, etc. Then I export the meshes in one shot, while maintaining the meshes in the Rhino file. I would like to do the same with Moi. Would also be great if object names, group, and layer assigments can be maintained when pasting from Rhino...

Hi Jonah, I'm not really sure, I don't have a totally solid idea of that right now. It might not make it into v2 - adding in mesh objects kind of brings in a pretty big pile of side issues about how the objects interact with existing commands, etc...

I just haven't really got a good handle on that yet.

But names, groups, layers, that type of stuff will definitely be a major focus item.

Hi Michael. I'd be happy just to have basic mesh object support, even without any mesh editing functions...

maybe just can only "import" a obj file,

For now, try the OBJ23dmWireframe.exe converter program here: http://moi3d.com/wiki/Resources#Obj23dmWireframe_converter

That will convert all the wireframe edges of an .obj mesh file into a .3dm file which can then be imported.
