The title pretty much says it, when the file is quick saved (save button) or IncrementalSave[d], some sort of visual confirmation that the command was indeed done. I'd say something non-intrusive would be cool, like an icon that popped up in the corner, and faded out after 2 seconds. :-)

Hi Nick, added to the wishlist.

I need to figure out some place in the UI to have a kind of "feedback output" where I can print out lines of text to give some more information on various things, like errors, additional information on things, etc... - this would go well in that kind of area.

But the problem is I don't know where that feedback area will go yet...
