I was not asking you to switch... I should be able to fix it up in just a little bit here.

Hi Brian, it should be fixed now. Please let me know if you still see any problems with it.

I inadvertently messed up the image attachments when fixing a different problem, sorry about that.

I didn't notice it right away because some browsers ignored the problem.

Hi Brian, pretty cool though I'd suggest you add a little chaos (yes, a Bill Fleming term) - the match sticks look too regular - nudge them around a bit to make the image feel more natural...

Though granted, if this is just a modeling exercise, you need not bother ;-)

-Will

PS - Other suggestions from his Photorealism Toolkit book would be to add some thickness to the cardboard (offset-shell) and to fillet the match sticks so the rounded corners catch the light more realistically during renders.

No problemo!

Bill Fleming (who I like to call the William Shatner of 3D) in his heyday had a few good books out there, they're sorta hard to find now (except for used) and are typically highly recommended by those who have read them.

The Photorealism Toolkit ( http://www.amazon.com/3D-Photorealism-Toolkit-Bill-Fleming/dp/0471253464 ) was a very good book on providing tips on how to make your models and scenes more realistic. He was a big fan of the "chaos" concept.

If you can find a copy for sale, it's highly worth it!
