Thats the thing... I know thats what it's supposed to do, but I get either nothing (more often) or crazy stuff...like this.

Hi Nick, those are bugs - it isn't very reliable I think with closed curves or when it would have to cross the seam edge of a closed surface.

It's something that I hope to get fixed up in the future when I get some updates to the geometry library that I'm using.

You may try doing something like splitting your closed curve into 2 halves and then try it.

The directional type projection is far more reliable.

Ok... but I wasnt going to use the "B" word on your forum. :-)

I was doing some tests today on the mathmatical accuracy of a projected object... and it was good (arc length, chord length)... and then all of a sudden it wouldnt even project anymore and I thought I was losing my mind!

:) If it is a bug I have no problem calling it like it is!

But some things are not bugs in my own code but rather in the geometry library that I have licensed to use.

Bugs in those areas tend to be more difficult for me to fix, I sort of have to wait to receive an update from them to get them fixed. Some of those may take a while.
