Brian

I must admit that I spent about a week creating my Spit. As I am semi-retired I get to spend a lot of time in the day (and night sometimes) fiddling with Moi, so the speed that you done yours is amazing.

I do admit to being a perfectionist, so attention to detail does take up a lot of my time, I only wish that I could say that will do!... sometimes.

Yes, I agree that MOI is the greatest modelling program since sliced bread was invented. I realy like it's simplicity, thats what makes it so attractive, compared to others.

Have posted a couple of attachments to see what you all think. Not quite finished but nearly there.

Best Wishes.
Malc.

Hi Kieth.
Just had a look at your site and I am very impressed, great work.

I would be happy to donate a Spit for your work. Would you need the 3dm file (when finished will be about 4 mb) or just an image file?.

Best Wishes.
Malc

Thanks for the complementary review:) I have cararra and mostly find that obj. files import best, but as I'm a bit of a newbie something else may be better. You could of course send a MoI file and I could do some shading. The trouble with an image file is it restricts the composition to a single point of view. I have downloaded some from google and am contemplating a matte picture (or whatever its called).
Thanks again the spitfire
Keith

You are all too clever for an old bloke like me!
I guess, like the oil cooler "thingys", I need to play with the props a bit more still--as you can see by the attached.
Keeps me off the streets I guess!

More work on the prop.
Technically probably way out, but I think I covered many of the design principles, at least, in this learning exercise.

Nice thread guys. Like to see exchanges of work like this. It helps me to learn things.

The Spitfire is very, very nice Malc.

Me too and for the same reason! I got into the habit using truespace because it crashed a *lot*, particularly when doing difficult booleans. Now I do the same for when I "crash" :)

I haven't had a single crash in MoI. Michael certainly knows how to write stable code!

I think this is as good as I am likely to do the props from a basis of not knowing what I am really doing!!
