Portable MOI3D on USB v2

Hi Michael,

I just tried to use the portable MOI on a 2gb usb flash drive. With the 3 files it asks for a dll - put that on the stick and then it asks for another - copied all of them over still doesn't work. Are there new instructions for v2 to run from a flash drive.

Gary

Hi Gary, actually the instructions for running MoI v2 from a USB stick are the same as MoI v1...

But there are a lot more than 3 files involved - you have to copy the entire installation folder including all sub-folders (like \ui and \commands) over to the USB stick.

After that you can run moi.exe directly from the USB stick, but if you are running it on a different computer it won't find your license key info and it will ask you to enter in your license key.

If you want to avoid entering in your license key, then you would copy the license.key files (and also moi.ini if you want to have all your settings with you) over as described here:

If it's asking for DLLs and not even running, that means that you have not copied the entire installation folder over to start with.

- Michael
