If you're satisfied with the revolve and you're certain you will not need to edit the object, then you can simply delete the curve.
If you still want to edit the revolved object, you need to keep the curve. You can hide it by just selecting it and using the "hide" button. If you need it later, just press "hide" again to select the object(s) that you want to make visible again.
