Good day.
Let say I have drawn a 3d model in Moi and want to apply a plastic texture on it to 3d print. texture > https://www.renderosity.com/freestuff/items/80042/plastic-texture
What would be the best way to do this?

Tnx!

Hi Matadem, that's usually called a "displacement map" in rendering programs.

Here are some examples using Blender:

Also the ZBrush and 3D Coat sculpting programs are very focused on displacement so they have various tools for it. You could probably find some tutorials using those programs also.

You would export your model out from MOI and then bring it in to Blender, ZBrush, or 3D Coat and apply the displacement map texture there.

Hi Matadem

Ulltamakers Cura slicer has a feature called "Fuzzy Skin" that allows the outside and inside surfaces to have a variable rough surface texture. I build models in Moi3d then 3d slice and print with rough surfaces generated by Cura.
