I have had MOI for many years, and I think I am reasonably proficient. I can quickly make what I want to print.
I dont do complex movie grade work.
These are my own thoughts, feel free to correct me or add your own below.

I got Plasticity for 2 things xnurbs and its fillets.
I have to say I rarely use it. but when I need it is there.

I have tried just about any other cad...Alibre, Sketchup, Freecad, Fusion....ect etc.
But for me in terms of speed nothing comes close to Moi3d. but Plasticity can be incredible fast as well... this guy has one of the best Plasticity tutorials on youtube https://www.youtube.com/@Pixelfondue

It is just perfect for what I do.

I've tried Plasticity and I do not like it's UI. I much prefer MOI3D.

However the one area where Plasticity excels is in tutorials. Plasticity has only been around for a few years yet has many more tutorials then MOI3D, and the user community appears to be vastly superior in numbers than MOI3D, which really confuses and concerns me.

MOI3D has a forum but a good percentage of the posts have very little to do with MOI3D.

I think Michael Gibson does a fantastic job for an one man operation and in the development and maintenance of his product. However it is up to the user community to help promote MOI3D by posting more threads about MOI3D, answering MOI3D questions and posting more tutorials on Youtube. Sorry if I offend anyone, but the present MOI3D tutorials on Youtube are vastly inferior to the polished Plasticity tutorials.

MOI3D needs someone like Vladimir Chopine (GeekatPlay) to publish MOI3D tutorials and get the word out there on what a great app MOI3D is.

I know the developer of Boxcutter and HardOps (Blender Addon) has posted in the past at what a capable app MOI3D is. But now he appears to be on the Plasticity bandwagon due to the fact Plasticity shares many shortcuts with Blender.

Perhaps a script that gave MOI3D some of the more popular shortcuts of Blender would make it appeal with the Blender camp.

Cheers

Kennmo

Plasticity is actually my MoI addon for fillets, or when I want to explore a bit of surfacing with Xnurbs. But I think everything I hate about it is stuffs inspired by Blender :O).

I've also bought Plasticity some years ago. Used it once, then quickly returned to the UI / UX elegance of MoI.

Yup, Plasticity's UI is a big turn off. However I did not purchase, I was using the demo/trial version.
