Some objects created while discovering various tools of MoI :

I really, really like the booleans and filleting tools ! ;-)
Keep up the good work.

Very cool, I like the playful/doodling type feel!

Yeah, doodles is probably the right word.
I like to play with the tools, starting just with a few curves or primitives and see what happens. Lot of fun ! ;-)

Here are more doodles :

And a few others :

Impatiently waiting for the "mesh export option" to see how these strange objects render elsewhere...

Very cool! These really capture a lot of the "essence" of MoI so-to-speak. Being able to do things like this quickly and easily is kind of the primary mission.

They also have a kind of industrial use / art design type hybrid feel, which is also quite a bit of MoI's intent as well.

I'm glad you're having fun with it!

Glad you like them ! ;-)
I could post hundreds of screenshots like these in just a few days... I'm just gonna keep the most interesting and add in this thread from time to time...

And yes, it's a lot of fun, so thank you for having created MoI and made the beta free !

Slowly becoming addicted to MoI !

Some very simple and some more complex objects. Still a lot of fun ! ;-)

Next time, I hope there will be full rendered objects...

Took one of the above to make some render tests in Modo...

Don't know what it is, but I like the result so far... ;-)

Hi Schbeurd,

my name is Toni Grappa from the german Blenderwiki Book. Recently I`m writing an article about the capacity of Nurbs modelling. Unfortunatly Blender doesn`t support Nurbs very well but I wanted to show an example of Nurbs to demonstrate what could be if Blender only had a good support...
So for this I need only one screenshot of some Nurbs modells. Unfortunatly I´m to busy even to learn the basics of Moi and for only one sreenshot it doesn`t make sence to learn everything...

Here is the article still without picture.
http://de.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_Dokumentation:_Kurven%2C_Oberfl%C3%A4chen%2C_Text

I have to publish every picture under GNU License, so I need the author `s name . I will integrate the name of the programm into the picture and the underlying text will have a hint to the authors name and Moi3d.

In this article you can see, how I handle things (see Indigo).

I would like to ask, if I could use one of your screenshots for my article.

Toni Grappa

Hi Toni,

If you find my images in this thread interesting for your purpose, feel free to use them. No problem for me. ;-)
I'm not sure they do justice to MoI however (after all they were just doodles) but you decide, hehe !
If you've to mention author's name, "Schbeurd" is the nickname to use !

Do not forget links to MoI website (this program is really cool !) and keep us informed when your pages are online ! ;-)

BTW, Blender user here... Since version 1.53 if I remember well... I still have my C-Key somewhere on a CD and my printed V.1.5 manual is not very far from me. I've not been using Blender for some time and "re-discovered" it recently. Incredible evolution ! Now waiting for 2.43...

Looks good. Those are two good examples of the type of models that NURBS are particularly strong in - things involving boolean operations and edge filleting.
