attached a piece that it is indicated as solid but when I boolean the orange piece is not solid anymore?

also when you copy an item does it go to the windows clipboard?
I tried it but my clipboard is empty and if it works can it be setup to be as an obj file onto the clipboard?

Your fillets are over lapping. the model can't figure out which way is facing out.

With the Edit > Copy command or Ctrl+C / Cmd+C, yes.

What are you using to look at the clipboard?

The .obj spec does not have anything in it about the clipboard, so it's not possible.
