Gif's and Video recommendation

I observe via Pilou posts that video Gif's can be uploaded to imgbox, and referenced in MoI posts.

Is there a recommendation for creating such Gif's? (Free)
Or editing such Gif's? (Free)
Or viewing Gif, by individual frames? (Free, or with existing software)

I see some poorly looking (incomplete) frames with Snagit editor.

Microsoft Clipchamp, (free edition), comes with Windows 11. It also can be downloaded for Windows 10.
Clipchamp is also available via Windows 365 (annual subscription) suite, at no additional fee, with Premium Filters and Effects, but NOT premium features of enhanced, ($ subscription), Clipchamp.

The individual frame of some (low resolution) Gif's from the forum, on Clipchamp free edition are of (barely) OK clarity, but do not seem to be very crisp. IMHO
(I do not think that is Clipchamps fault?

Vague recollections of Camtasia.

Techsmith just switched to a subscription model. So I will not upgrade Snagit2022, nor Camtasia8.

Here is another nice Gif Screenrecorder
"ScreenToGif" (Win only)
very tiny but nice features

For Screen recordings i can also recommend
"ScreenPal" (free), a free Account is needed
you could upload your videos also for free
