Centerpoint crosshairs?

When making construction drawings, there are times I'd like to denote the center of a circle or arc to use for location dimensions rather than radius or diameter. What I've been doing is to put in a radius or diameter, then via Details, removing the R<> or Ø<> in the text field and setting the arrow length & width to zero. My preference is the Open Arrow style.

The problem with this approach is that upon reloading the model the radius or diameter dimensions (text field) are refreshed back to default, so I have to remember to go back and clear those fields. I know, I'm trying to coerce MoI into doing something odd, but this is almost a worthwhile work around.

Is there a better way? Perhaps something for V5, perhaps a script for a shortcut? Thanks & Happy New Year!

Hi Larry, I've got a fix coming for the next v5 beta (soon) to not reset the dimension text on file load if it's been blanked out.

In the meantime does it work if you put in just a space character for the new text when you remove the R<> ?

There will also be an option for Arrowhead: "None" in the next v5 beta.

Hi Michael,

Yes, it looks like replacing R<> or Ø<> with a space avoids the problem on reload (using July 30 v5 beta).

Thanks for the upcoming fix and addition of Arrowhead: None!
