The use of HISTORY command

Dear all,
Could anyone explain how the History command works because I have never used it, but I'm told it's very useful when you need it for your design.

What is the purpose of the said command in 3Dmoi, and how do you use it? While doing the Shapr 3D tutorial design, I couldn't figure out what or when you use it.

Your expertise in this area is greatly appreciated.

Thank you again.

Hi Ray, after you create a loft through several curves the history function allows you to edit the points of the curves and the loft surface will automatically get updated with the loft recalculating. That can make it easier to control sculpted surface shaping.

That's probably the most common use for it in MOI.

I think the one in Shapr3D is a little different, I think they have the more traditional Mechanical CAD parametric feature based history where your model is made up of a feature tree with things like fillet radius values listed in the tree so you can modify those later on.

it's also very useful in the Boolean function Isect (history enabled by default)

Modify any section (or both) will modify the target form!

At any moment of the session till the target form is not modified by any other function!

Here only the circle is modified!

More elaborated! :)

Dear all,
Thanks so much for your help, both of you. It's very useful, I've tried it. I have done the Stylish chairs 2024 with the help of the history command which improved my work more efficiently.

@ Pilou - thank you for the youtube link because of it understand the meaning of useful command history. You can see them in the 3Dmoi Gallery.

Thank you again
