Just posting a rebate script that Michael did for me a while back
It allows negative values as well. I also use it to create hollow box sections or tubes from solids
(Just set the depth longer than the solid and it basically punches through the whole shape bit like a pass through shell)

Seems Rebate don't work directly with Subdiv_beta9!

So you must export as Format obj then Use _SubDiv_beta9 or native SubDivision !

Or better make an Negative Extrude after a SSplit! :) (so no need to export ! )
