Hi Matadem,

re:

Not that I know of. It's generating a polygon mesh object so that won't work well in MOI which doesn't do polygon modeling.

Maybe Blender? Try a web search for "blender shrinkwrap"

Zbrush has had DYNA MESH for years - I have Rhino 8 and DYNA MESH in ZBRUSH wins hands down backed by REMESHER produces clean closed shapes Shrinkwrap in Rhino just doesnt compare. I do believe you can buy Remesher for blender as an addon.

Hi there,

I confirm, Blender has a shrinkwrap modifier, and a Remesh modifier, But these two modifiers are not easy to use! There is also an addon "Quad Remesher" that I use (paid).

I've been trying several times to learn Blender's shrinkwrap. It's a pain in the butt to learn and use. I opted to purchase the Blender addon, Quad Remesher which is simple easy to use and by the same folks who created Zbrush's remeshing app.

I tried the demo before purchasing and I am glad I did.

Not sure why no one has answered your question whether this is possible in MOI3D.

That is one of the things about MOI3D, many members are reluctant to share tips and assist fellow users.

MOI3D is a fantastic app, too bad the user community was not more friendly and helpful.

Hopefully someone will answer your question.

Cheers

Not sure why you think it wasn't answered:

Ana easy way to have only a sort of quads patches surfaces is to use the "subdivision" modeling inside Moi ! ;)

Then Rebuild Surface by Mo_Te (each patch) - Subdiv 1
