Experiencing black screen at semi-random times when I've been away from the computer for a while or for instance this morninng when I turned off/on my monitor...v5 and Windows 10.

Is there a script for refereshing the viewport or some such?

Hi Rich, does it recover if you zoom or pan the viewport or resize the window?

Usually something like that is a problem in the video driver for coming out of sleep mode.

If it started happening after an update you might try rolling back the video driver to the previous version if possible, or getting the most current driver directly from the manufacturer's web site.

Ah no it's just black despite zoom or resizing etc.

It's happened with the last few NVidia updates so might be a way back in video drivers, unsure!

Hi Rich, so probably the best bet is to download the latest driver directly from the Nvidia web site and see if that helps.

Another thing you can try is in moi.ini there's a setting:

[View]
<...>
GraphicsAPI=Auto

You can set that to one of: Auto, Direct3D11, Direct3D9 or OpenGL. (Auto will use Direct3D11 on Windows).

That changes which operating system library that MoI will use for accessing the GPU.
