Hi Mike, for v4 you need to drag the MoI app into the /Applications folder and then the first time to open it you will need to right click on it and choose "Open" on that menu so that it will be placed on the white list and won't be blocked by the Gatekeeper mechanism that blocks any downloaded apps that are not digitally signed from running.
For MoI v5 it's slightly different, instead of doing right-click Open the first time you need to run a command at a Terminal prompt. There is an "Install instructions readme.txt" file included in the .zip with instructions to follow.
