Whew, ok, here it goes.
Please tell Steph thank you very much for the feedback!
Many of his requests will have to wait for a future version. But not all!
> A following filet curve
So as I mentioned earlier, this one will be coming for the next beta.
> A "Bi Offset" = you trace a curve / a double line is created around this line / the source is deleted
I should be able to add a "Both sides" option to offset that will allow this, I haven't finished it yet but it should be possible for the next beta. I won't do the automatic deletion of the source yet, though, I need to think a bit about how to handle deleting of source objects in general. The source will remain selected so it can be easily deleted, though.
> An universal "Manipulator" (he exagerates :)
3 of the functions of the manipulator (move in x axis, move in y axis, move in z axis) are already just built into the regular drag-objects function in MoI, since you can move nearby the x, y, or z axes to snap movement along there.
I would like to add a type of manipulator or frame to allow for scaling and rotation. But it will be a fairly major undertaking, I don't think it will be possible for the first release.
> A speedy key for repeat last action
I can probably add this for the next beta.
> A speedy render in la ittle window
> Diffence mode of rendering
These will probably not make it for V1. There has to be some reason to upgrade to V2 and beyond, after all... :)
> A speedy casing tub pipe ( more strong than sweep)
I think I need some more explanation of this one. One tip - you can just draw a circle on the top plane, away from the rail. It must be outside the bounding box of the rail. Then if you use that circle as the profile curve in the sweep, MoI will automatically place the shape perpendicular to the rail for you. So that's a quick way to make a tube/pipe type shape. You don't have to do any effort of placing the circle to the path, if that is what he is complaining about here.
> A Clock for the coffee pause :) maybe Steph has not see the reduce button :D
Maybe for version 12? :) I think his problem is that when you're in MoI's full screen mode, the regular windows clock will be covered. But surely there must be some kind of "always float-on-top" clock software available out there already.
> Change inverse view left / right ...Top / Bottom when you clic on bottom menu with right clic
I might be able to get these before V1, but maybe not for a couple of months though.
> Zoom * 2 when you clic on the corner name of a view
Interesting idea... I don't like that it would be so hidden though, nobody would know that it was there just by looking. I can see that it could be useful though. I'll need to wait and think on this one a bit though.
> Mode Selection Objects / Curves
I have some plans for this, but I'm not sure if it will be possible for V1 yet or not. Probably not for a while anyway.
> Layers
I'm going to wait for a while on this as well. I don't really like the traditional layers and groups mechanism too much, it seems like it would be better to have just one mechanism to organize things that did part of what both layers and groups do. So I'd rather wait for a little bit to see if it is possible to make a combination of these instead. It may be something that does not happen for V1 though.
> Format file export "AI" (illustrator) !!!
I should be able to do this, probably in not too long.
> An automatic "save" every xxx time before a crash arrive !
I should be able to add this also, probably not for the next beta but I will try for the one after that.
> A bug when "Chamfer" is bigger than real space is not enough = infinite loop!
I haven't seen this one before... If he runs into it again and can send me an example file, it would help to find the bug.
> Ps Steph has actualy an hand hurting so he appreciates greatly the pen tablet possibilities !
It's kind of an interesting side effect - making MoI work with the pen tablet and not require touching the keyboard for basic operation has also helped out people who have an injury or disability where they only have use of one hand currently.
> Join bugs
Thanks for posting the examples - I've fixed this bug for the next beta.
> Grid Visible / Hidden ?
There are some grid options available - move the mouse to the "Grid Snap" button on the bottom toolbar, and there will be an arrow showing above it. Activate that and it will produce a menu, where you can turn the grid off and also open up the "Grid options" dialog that has more options in it.
I'm planning on consolidating all the options into a single dialog at some point. Right now there are different options scattered around in different places - there are more under Straight Snap and Object Snap.
Thanks again!
