Hi Brian, you can Ctrl+click on the style swatch in the scene browser to set the color and after you have set up the styles how you want them save off a .3dm file and specify that as the template file under Options > General > "Template file".
When a template file is set then the styles will be read in from that file when you first launch MoI or when you do File > New.
