Dim in scripts menu

Hi,
In the scripts menu the dimension tools appear. but for me it's useless to see them here, if I need it, I display "Dim" in the side panel.

So my question is: is it possible to remove them from the scripts menu?

Another question, why aren't the scripts all in alphabetical order? (see picture)

Hi Zooen, can you post the file for your scripts menu?

Probably there is a hard coded list of built in commands that needs to be updated.

Hi Zooen,

Have a look at my Extras menu https://moi3d.com/forum/messages.php?webtag=MOI&msg=10353.1 as an alternative to Max's Scripts menu.

The aim is to eliminate from this menu the tools/functions for which I have either an icon available or a keyboard shortcut (often used). I noticed that for some tools that have an icon (for example, BMOI import and export) if I transfer them to the script folder, they no longer work. In green those that I would no longer like to see in the scripts menu.

Hi Zoen,

The order of the scripts is alphabetical, but Max's scripts often begin with an underscore which is deleted in the window scripts.
See the names of the files in your script directory.

Have fun !

In the beginning of script.menu.htm, there is a list of commands
I think it's for voiding in the list of scripts the internal scripts.
So, you have to add the new, V5 scripts added as DimXXX to not see them in the script menu.

You're welcome, but that's odd because the two scripts are quite different with respect to how the list of commands is generated. Max's Scripts.htm used a hard coded list while my Extras.htm generates the list of commands. Did you put Extras.htm and .js in the startup folder & then click on Extras rather than Scripts?

Hi Zooen, yes on line number 8 of the script there is an array made of internal command names, it looks like this:
code:
var internalcmd=["CopyClipboardWithOrigin", <....> ];

Add in the things you want removed to this array.

Thank's Phiro,

In the 1st I removed the _ (dash of 8) from the files of Max to restore the alphabetical order in the drop-down menu.

I added, in "Scripts.menu.htm" to var allcmd= [ all the names of the scripts that I no longer wanted to see in the drop-down menu.

As the icons of max (subdiv, bridge, etc.) did not work anymore I looked for the file which was the cause, it was "85 SubdivTools.js", on each line, at the end, it was necessary to delete the _ (dash of 8) of file names.

Oops!
Michael, I made my changes in line 11 : var allcmd= ["AddPoint",. But it works (finally now!!...). I guess that's a problem.
See picture.

That's it, I only have the plugins I need (at the moment) appearing in the drop-down menu.
