Switching Unit Systems

I constantly switch between Unit Systems as the designs I work on integrate both metric and sae dimensions. I love Moi3Ds simple feature of the unit system being set to inches and being able to type a mm dimension in the window and for it to do the conversion.

Does jumping back and forth between unit systems on a file cause any kind of degradation of the dimensional accuracy? In other words is it a perfect conversion between units without rounding decimal points? I haven't noticed that it does, but I was curios how this is handled in Moi.

Thanks
Craig

Hi Craig,

re:

There is some rounding that will happen but it's at a teeny tiny level like say around 0.000000000000001 units or so.

So it's so small that it would be difficult to measure it. Effectively you don't really have to worry about it.

Maybe don't switch it more than 100,000 times...

Good to know;) Appreciate that, I was doing some manual conversions on a project and it got me wondering about Moi.
