Hello everyone,

I am using the "Gordon" tool to create this surface and always get an imperfect shape, like it's pinched at the end. can someone help me?

Thanks in advance.

Hi David, can you please post the .3dm file with the curves in it?

Hi David, having different shapes suddenly collapse down to a point can often make a kind of stressed result.

You can usually get better quality with surfaces when you keep them more regular and relaxed and then cut away some material to get the final shape rather than trying to kind of force the surface to directly follow the final outline.

So in your case that would mean to continue your surface without squeezing the curves together, more like this:

That makes a nice even shaping to the surface. Then to alter the border of the surface you can trim it:

Hi David, also one reason for the glitchy surface is the curves have fairly different shaping where they come together.

What I mean is this curve is flat where it ends:

While the center curve has a tight bend hook where it ends:

It will be difficult for these different shapes to combine together well.

So if you did want to try and surface directly, not having that hook would help and also it can be good in collapsing areas to include a kind of circular like profile before the touching point so that there will be roughly equal lengths before they come together.
