Moi3D to Rhino7 question

Hi Moi3D users, I have this question? I recently bought Rhino 7 and it has this one function that will not work on my older laptop.
It is the smooth to flat command that toggle's the subD from mesh to nurbs. I can save these same models to a thumb drive and load them into Moi. Running the subDscripts from Moi3D and they work perfectly, and toggle from smooth to flat, poly to nurbs.
Is the code that Moi3D uses for the scripts compatible with Rhino 7. In all my reading and testing. This problem is due to a driver problem. And when an older computer can't get the most recent drivers your stuck. So far this is the only function that I have found that will not work. I also have found that this function would be so nice to have.
Sure seems like maybe a script from Moi might be able to create a workaround. I definitely plan on getting a new desktop pc to run Rhino, But at the moment its working quite well. But if I could use that Catmull clark subD script in Rhino I think I could possibly toggle that smooth to flat function. Not completely sure but thought I would ask. Thanks for any ideas. p.s. I did read that a couple of users were having this same problem. One guy even had a very new computer. He switched the graphics drivers and that fixed it. Tempted to see if a moi script will load into Rhino.

Hi Specktech, in general no it's not possible to just directly run a script that was designed for one program in a different one.

It's kind of like if you would try to take an engine from one car and try to just drop it in to another car and run it. The way it fits and all the connectors are very different from car to car. It's similar with scripting, the environment where the script runs and connects to the host program are very different and so not compatible directly.

Thanks for that info. I really appreciate it. Even though I bought Rhino, I use Moi3D all the time. Going to use both these programs to the fullest potential. Thanks M.G. p.s. super stoked seeing that ACIS for fillets. Going to have to try it out. Have a great day.
