I think that History may have a role?

Excellent video!!!
Of course all you have seen in this video is possible without any plugin! :)

Even no need to enable History because History is enabled by default for this function with Curves! ;)

The trick is draw first the curves and not try to Isect a volume with curves drawn after!

Hi Dana, yes that's the history function in MoI. You can set that one up by drawing in curves as shown, then select one set of the curves and run Construct > Boolean > Intersection, then select the other set.

A solid will be generated where the curves project out to and if you edit the curves the booleaned result will update.

The main limitation to the history function is that to recalculate a result the input objects that were used need to still be present in the model. So it won't work if you do the boolean with solids as the inputs instead of curves because with solids the original objects are deleted.

Hi Michael,

I just noticed something weird maybe,

I had my set of short keys and for Boolean insect I had these keys Ctrl+Shift+Space (I don't usually do insect Boolean in my works so I did not use it for a long time! ) today after seeing this post I tried to use my short keys for that and I received an error message:

Command BooleanInsect not found.
Might be a plug-in is not installed.

What is wrong?
Did u change the command for Boolean Insect?

I remember it used to work like a charm!

Bes,
Psygorn

Hi Psygorn,

> What is wrong?
> Did u change the command for Boolean Insect?

No there haven't been any changes, you've just got the wrong name there. You need BooleanIntersection there.

There's a list of all command names here: https://moi3d.com/4.0/docs/moi_command_reference11.htm#shortcutkeys.

The name you were trying, BooleanInsect is calling out for something calling it a "bug" but I can't quite optimize the joke right now... :)

We could have a community effort to cultivate the best one…

So, it’s true it's a bug, though false the moniker!

Or, yes, the bug is not a bug!
